A former Assistant Professor of Urology and Renal Transplantation at CMC Vellore, Dr. Venkat holds an M.Ch. in Urology from CMC Vellore, an M.S. in General Surgery from K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, and is ECFMG certified (USA).

Integral contributor to the landmark randomized open versus robotic cystectomy (RAZOR) trial for bladder cancer, the world’s first phase 3 multicenter randomized trial comparing open to robotic surgery in any organ site. This was published in the prestigious journal The Lancet in June 2018.
Predictors of readmission rates following robotic and open radical cystectomy: An analysis from the RAZOR trial – Best Poster, Moderated Poster Session, Annual Conference of the American Urological Association, Virtual AUA 2020.
